FAMILY
NEWS
OUR
CONDOLENCES
TO THE
FAMILY OF
ETHELYN
SMITH
We were
saddened to
learn
Friday,
April 11,
2008 that
our sister,
Ethelyn
Smith would
no longer
grace us
with her
presence on
earth. We
join her
family in
the
comforting
knowledge
that we will
see her in
Heaven one
day.
Ethelyn had
been part of
our
fellowship
for many
years as she
visited
Bryan,
Brenda,
Jonathan and
Rebekah and
had recently
joined us on
an official
basis.
Unfortunately
she was
diagnosed
with brain
cancer
during the
first of
this year.
She is no
longer in
bodily pain
or
confusion,
but is at
peace with
our Lord!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Eric, and
Joy, with
their sons,
Jake and
Samuel,
proudly
welcomed
their newest
addition,
Max, on
Monday,
April 7,
2008. Max
arrived
weighing 9
pounds and
was 21 and
1/2 inches!
He will
quickly be
keeping up
with his big
brothers!

Just One
More Reason
This past
week I
witnessed
just one
more reason
why FCCR is
so special.
Monday one
week ago
Carol and I
visited
Ethelyn
Smith at her
daughter’s
home in
Ringgold,
GA. The
next Friday
morning we
received a
phone call
that Ethelyn
had gone to
spend the
rest of her
eternity
with Jesus.
When we
arrived at
the house,
it wasn’t
long that
Bryans’
friends and
family
gathered to
extend their
love and
support.
Sunday
afternoon at
the family's
reception
for family
and friends
six of our
members
traveled to
the funeral
home in
Chattanooga
via our new
van and many
more drove
themselves.
Our members
of FCCR
began
gathering to
express
their love.
I’m not sure
just how
many made
the trip but
it was a
lot. Hugs
and tears
were shared
and the FCCR
family was
truly a
blessing to
the Smith
Family.
Rev 14:13
13 And I
heard a
voice from
heaven
saying,
"Write this:
Blessed are
the dead who
die in the
Lord from
now on."
"Blessed
indeed,"
says the
Spirit,
"that they
may rest
from their
labors, for
their deeds
follow
them!" ESV

improved.
If you

Sandwich
Making:
on
April 26
we will
be
helping
make
1600
sandwiches
for the
Trinity
Table.
After
all the
talking
that we
do about
caring
for and
helping
the poor
and less
fortunate,
this is
your
chance
to
actually
put
those
words
into
action.
We will
be
assembling
them in
the
Fellowship
Hall.
We will
begin at
9 am and
should
be done
by noon.
-
Move '08:
the
dates
have
been
changed.
Instead
of July
14 -18,
we will
now be
going
July 20
- 24.
This
year CIY
has
changed
the name
Summer
Conference
to
Move.
This is
what has
generally
been
known as
CIY.
However,
to clear
things
up, CIY
is the
organization
behind
Move and
Believe
and
other
conferences.
So, when
you hear
about
Move, we
are
referring
to what
has been
known as
CIY
Summer
conference.
All that
being
said,
the
conference
will be
held at
Lee
University.
Jason
French
will be
the
director
and the
Moxie
Davis
band
will be
leading
worship.
More
info
will be
given as
we get
closer
to the
date.

The

will be
held on
